Tour itinerary
Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and city tour Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
You'll be greeted at the airport and escorted to 4* hotel. After lunch take a city tour to Gandan Monastery where you will see a huge gold plated Buddha, a symbol of Mongolian national pride and cultural revival, Ulaanbaatar city museum, Central Square, and National Museum of Mongolia where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to present time. Day 2. Terelj National Park and visit Chinggis Khaan statue After breakfast, drive to Giant Chinggis Khaan statue. The statues in total is 40m high and see as far sighted Chinggis Khaan holds a golden whip in his right hand. The Terelj National Park incorporates parts of Khentii Mountain Range. You'll explore the extraordinary formation of rocks and stones; some of them look quite similar to turtles and horse riding. Overnight in tourist camp. (B+L+D) (Approx. paved road 110 km, 2 hours)
Day 3. Hustai National Park & Ungut man monuments
Early morning drive to Hustai National Park. You can see many historical there are many historical monument ensemble of Ungut - famous with it is large number of man like figures, which belongs to 6-8 th century AD and many other sepultures, rectangular tombs. On the way, see Takhi, the Asian wild horse. If you have a chance, see wolf, argali sheep and deer. Enjoy small hiking and photographing the charming landscape and wildlife. Day 4. Erdenezuu and Karakorum, ancient capital city
After breakfast at the tourist camp, drive to Karakorum, the symbolic ruins of the 13th century capital of the Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu, the oldest monastery, with 108 stupas, built in 1586. Then visit Karakorum museum and see the Great Mongol state period, Stone Age, Bronze Age, Ancient state period halls. Overnight in tourist camp by Orkhon River. Day 5. Ugii Lake & visit nomad family
After breakfast, drive to Ugii Lake (altitude 1387 m; surface area—25 sq. km). When you visit the lake, you will have an opportunity to take a boat tour and do some birding. On the way, you will see Khusuu Tsaidam, a Turkic inscribed monument of the Turkic State (6th – 8 th Centuries A.D). After lunch, we will visit a local horsemen family where you have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions. Day 6. Elsen tasarkhai and camel ride trial
Early morning, drive to Elsen tasarkhai unique area of forest and sand dunes. After lunch, there is an opportunity for a camel ride trial through the sand dunes. We will visit a local nomad family where you have an opportunity to experience their way of life, their culture and traditions. Overnight in a tourist camp. Day 7. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar and city tour Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Optional visit to Narantuul market and visit Bogd Khan Palace, which is a series of beautiful traditional buildings, where the last religious King of Mongolia resided. You may choose an optional city tour where you will be taken to souvenir and cashmere shops before enjoying an evening concert of National Folklore. Overnight at the hotel.
